And, of course, being the geek I am, I am on pins and needles waiting for the last Harry Potter to come out! (Did go and see the movie, but I was kinda disappointed in all they hacked out of it...but that's why I have the books too. :) )

So, been enjoying that little friend quite a bit, and then I ended up running into a couple I knew at this month's Webgirl Barmeet, so I dragged them to one of Tantra's rooms and we fucked our brains out for a couple of hours...unfortunately, I had to leave to go get up in the morning and come to work. :(
Went with a friend to see Mr. Brooks this weekend...oh FUCK was that a creepy ass movie! And the cool/scary part of it all is that this is a potential part one of three! So, we were going to watch Season One of either TNG or DS9, but Jim couldn't find them, and neither Blockbuster nor Hollywood Video had them for rent! Hell, not even Walmart had it! lol So, we ended up getting and watching Glory Road, which was kinda interesting, in the Disney-does-sports kinda way. Had some nice groiny fun with him later, and the funny part was that we both agreed that we'd just take a little nap for half an hour and then I'd head home, and next thing I know, it's 8 am the next morning. lol Still, lots of fun to be had this past weekend- including a bunch of us heading off to Busch Gardens on Sunday! So, will try to post more, though I will be out of town next weekend (June 21-June 23) for a family wedding.

As for work so far this week, Monday was okay, and then today wasn't going so well, but then I had this one guy who kept wanting more dances with me, so it worked out. Not only that, but he traveled a lot, so I really enjoyed talking with him about all the places he's been. Very cool week so far.

Okay, for those of you still with us, I liked Superman because of the way it was both an homage to the previous movies and especially the previous Superman, while at the same time, keeping its own as an individual movie. The cast was superb, especially with Kevin Spacey as Lex...I mean, come on! Has no one else seen The Usual Suspects? If so, you know what I'm getting at. That, and how much Brandon Routh looks sooo much like Christopher Reeve. (Which, btw, the filmmakers dedicated this movie to the late Reeves.) The plot itself could have used a bit of beefing up, but for the first Superman movie in about 15 years, it's pretty darn cool. And I have to say the surprise that Lois told Superman was so bittersweet, though it was enough to make him wake up again. Here's a pic of Clark, Lois, her son Jason, and her fiance Richard, who's Perry White's nephew.

Now, Pirates I got to see at 12:01 on Friday morning, so it was interesting getting up later that morning! Now, I enjoyed the heck out of the movie for what it really was- part one of a two part movie, much like Kill Bill was. It's too long to try and market to today's moviegoers at it's full length, so filmmakers made two movies, which means twice the marketing and twice the revenue. The reason I'm explaining this is because if you read the critics' reviews, it's a decidedly mixed bag on how good/bad they think the movie is, much like they did with Kill Bill Part 1. You can't take it on its own- it's part of a bigger whole. But, enough of that soapbox. I enjoyed it! It was fun seeing what was going on in the aftermath of them letting Jack escape. It dragged a bit, yes, but it has to set up for part three, which'll probably move along at a fast pace. All in all though, I enjoyed the laughs and all, and BOY did I wanna be Kiera Knightley for five minutes! The lucky bitch got to kiss Johnny Depp!!!! Anyways, here's a pic of Will Turner, Norrington, and Jack all fighting about who gets the key to the chest and one of the remaining crew of the Black Pearl at Tia Dalma's near the end when they get the cliffhanger surprise!

I also, as you can see, used one of the photos from that shoot for a new userpic. Anyways, have our friends Jeff and Deb with us tonight, and even had my friends Barb and Danielle join us for dinner at Winghouse, where Rich did his patented buffalo wings house out of the wings bones. Always gets a laugh outta the waitress. So am at home watching "Hoodwinked" and maybe I'll be able to hook up with Jersey and Dan tomorrow night...still wanna see her new house too! (That, and get my shit back from her I stuffed in the trunk of her car at the golf tourney three weeks ago! LOL)

So, came back home with Angela and crashed, but woke up around 12 the next day cuz we were all going to go to the final weekend of the Renissance Festival with our friends Mark and Rose. Well, we took our time getting ready and didn't end up getting to the Fair til 3, but it was worth it, cuz we were just in time for the Human Combat Chess Match...that's a lot of fun to watch. Went around to some of the other booths, and ended up meeting Steve and Sarah, cuz Rich had called and asked if they wanted to join us. We caught Manolete's show and that ended just in time for the last Tortuga Twins show of the day which, unlike the rest of the day, is their Beer Show and thus rated R, and that R definitely stands for "ribald"! I'd already seen this kind of show from them last year, so I prepared by moving to the outside of the bench and making sure to remove my bra. That definitely paid off, cuz I flashed my tits and all three of them came down to rub their faces in it. I know that doesn't sound like much, but you had to have been there...it's part scripted, part ad lib, and all hysterically funny!
So, Steve and Sarah came back with us, while Rich took Angela back home :( We all took well anticipated showers (if you've ever been to a Ren Fair, you know what I'm talking about!) and then decided to do dinner and a movie. Lucky Number Slevin was pretty good...I think we all liked it. Then we all came back home for a round two of fucking, sucking and fun!

I also happened to "bump" into an old friend at work on Friday, which started the ball rolling on me actually making some money yesterday. I haven't seen him in at least 8 months, so it was nice to know that he still liked me. :) So, that was a great start to my weekend...that and I went with friends to see Underworld: Evolution, which was okay, but I wasn't expecting too much since it was a sequel. I do have to say that I did have lots of time enjoying watching Kate Beckinsale in black leather. :D Anyways, ended up hanging out with my girl friend Angela and we went by the mall, since my parents had given me a gift card for my birthday. I found some very nice tops at Express, which I'd love to show here, but their website is done with JavaServer pages, which doesn't allow for graphic listing on other sites. :( They look very cool, so I'll have to take some pictures when I wear them. :)

Now, on to a little rant about movie theaters. Whatever happened to silence is golden? I mean, when they show the "turn cellphones off during the movie", why is it so hard for people to just fucking do that? I mean, I've been to shows where more people than not are courteous enough to do so, but I went to one where this one guy behind me got a call, and proceeded to talk to his "dawg" for fifteen minutes! Um, dude, if you have to take that call, take it out in the lobby before I shove that lovely phone up your ass! Okay, I feel better now. Hope this week goes well, because I'm only working four days, since Thursday's Thanksgiving. Anybody got any special plans?

Oh, and btw, I got to see Batman Begins tonight, and I think they did a great job of showing how Bruce Wayne became Batman...sorry, but I've always been a Batman junkie, though I don't presume to know EVERYTHING about the canon, but it is kinda cool, ain't it?
