Okay, know I haven't written much lately but I haven't really done much beyond go to work, come home and nurse my knee. (Which, btw, is coming along nicely...should be better by Christmas! LOL) So here's some random thoughts I've been having lately. WARNING: Random means just what it says so expect quick lane changes!

It's something I've just noticed recently how much people I know and care about seem to turn up in the erotica I've written. Lord knows anyone who knows me can see me in Hermione loud and clear in almost every story, but I keep seeing bits and pieces of various lovers that I've been with over the years in all the men I write into the stories- Lucius, Draco, and Snape being the top three that pop in right now. I also wish I was doing more during the week than wake up, maybe exercise, go to work, come home ad goof off on the computer for an hour or two then crash and start over again. The only blip in the radar being the weekend when I get up, do some chores, and veg. Maybe I will, what with the holidays and all...which reminds me that I need to think about the last few gifts I'm getting people and to remind people about the holiday barmeet on the 21st. That and I still need to figure out what I'm gonna do for my birthday. I'm gonna be 25 and it's interesting what people I've met in just the last year and who's not with us anymore. (Yes, I still miss my grandpa.) I'm sure I'll think of something sooner or later...still got 2 1/2 weeks left...maybe it'll turn into a mini orgy afterwards like it did last year, but maybe I'll actually stay up past 1am this time! But yeah, I'm gonna try and have more fun with my family and friends this coming year, that's for sure!

Forgot to mention it in my last post, cuz I didn't think it was as bad as I thought it would be, but I screwed up my knee while exercising earlier this week, so I'm sitting here on the computer with my wrapped up knee propped up in front of me...hopefully it'll be much better by Monday! Been trying to get back into the groove of things, so this past weekend, got some friends together for some music, laughter, and, of course, a couple drinks! Okay, don't know if anyone else has heard of the Erotic Sleeping Beauty trilogy by A. N. Roquelaure, but I got the series for Christmas and I love it! Okay, don't know where everybody has vanished to on Wednesdays, but it's been pretty boring here for a couple hours, so I've spent that time occupied with some very hot and heavy smut on RestrictedSection.org. I don't know why this has a habit of happening, but the kind of fanfic I read sometimes seems to contain things that I tend to eventually try, like it or not. (For those of you who may not know exactly what fanfiction is, it's basically taking ideas and/or characters from media sources, such as Buffy, Highlander, or Star Trek, and making their own story around the characters or ideas.) Take, for example, the kind of fanfic I started reading back when I started college. For one thing, it was the first time that I was old enough to read erotica, and BOY did I ever indulge! (I ended up saving my favorite stories to my harddrive, and eventually put most of them into an archive I host.) Anyways, one of my favorite stories was by a gifted writer by the name of Laure Alexander. She wrote this story as part of an erotic series about Willow and Spike. (If you don't know who they are, don't worry...it's the story content I like. :D) Anyways, this is a story that actually works well as a standalone, and it's called Lusty Lasses in the Library. (NOTE: This story is NC-17, so don't be clicking on it if you're not old enough to read it yet!) Anyhoo, I should've had a clue as to why I liked this particular story so much, but at that point in my life, bisexuality just wasn't in my lexicon. But after a good friend of mine pointed out that the reason I was always bickering with one of my best friends was because I was attracted to her, the reasons why I liked to read that story made more sense then.
Well, now I've gotten really into the Harry Potter erotica, especially Hermione/Snape, and mainly read them at RestrictedSection.org or Ashwinder. I seem to be especially interested in the stories where some "teaching" is in order, on whatever level. (I think I like to read more than I do, but I guess that's okay, right?) Cuz I'm not really into the heavier side of the BDSM lifestyle, but I'm not adverse to some light discipline. Don't know if I'll ever really want to be seriously disciplined, like some of the things I saw at FetishCon, but considering the kind of stuff I've been reading, I might want to try it.
