2395 words! I don't think they suck! I'll post it on DW once we're allowed. I will hint that the fandom and/or character(s) are listed in my profile. ;)
Once the stories are posted on the 25th, anyone who guesses which one is mine gets a story of their choice, at least 1000 words. I'm feeling generous.
Now to attempt the loading--I have everything else filled out but the story....

Jesus, Kansas City! Tie the game and then let them score with barely any time left. You suck.
I think you rendered Lennie Dawson incoherent.

Woohooo! 1095 words in an hour of writing in a fandom I've never written in! *g*
While listening to the Chiefs on the radio since, for the first time in like 16 years, they're blacked out. Both teams have turnovers and Cleveland has two returns for touch downs and the offenses keep scoring (and the special teams, and the defenses). It's one of those kind of games that would be fun to watch but they didn't sell out. How the times have changed!
In other news, my solo went very well. Due to this cold I don't have much breath, but luckily I didn't have to hold anything very long, managed to hit the C above middle C, and the song is kind of breathy and light anyway. I got a lot of compliments and a hug from Peter, who's cute and, of course, married, who thanked me for bringing music to the Fellowship. Why are the cute guys married to my friends?! Heather, who gave the Solstice service, is married to a gorgeous, friendly guy, too.
Anyway, Heather and I talked about possibly starting a more pagan group. In her service she had the quarters called and the ritual was very comforting. I miss my women's group but I just don't have time and I'm so much more involved in UU but I'm interested in a UU pagan group and I told her there were probably others as well, and I'd be happy to help because I've had some experience. Her husband is very interested in it--they were active pagans or Wiccans before joining the Fellowship.
Then I discovered that everytime I tried to start my financial program the computer gave this error message and had to shut down. We don't think it's the program (it loaded and wasn't freezing or anything) but we couldn't solve the problem. The computer also kept disabling the Firewall everytime it rebooted. And AVG was running something that was using 100% of the CPU power. Luckily the computer guy came in to borrow a pen while I was booting the second time and I roped him into trying to solve it. He was still working on it when I left. I ended up having to do the deposit and write checks by hand. :P Hopefully the computer geeks can fix the problem. My one concern is that I haven't backed up QB in three weeks so if we have to start from scratch for some reason I may have to do a lot of entering. I don't think that will be a problem because I don't think QB is the problem and neither did the computer guy. He had set up a back up to run every night starting last Thursday. The last time I used QB was Wednesday. We don't know why that would be a problem either, but maybe it is. It's over both our heads, hence his call, as I left, to a geek.
Great excitement.

Challenge #313: "Snape's Holiday Season" This week's challenge focuses on the Holiday Season. Hanukkah has just ended and the islamic New Year has just passed - and Kwanzaa, Yule, and Christmas are on the way . Your drabble can center on any one of these (or any other seasonal celebration) as long as your focus is on Snape and the Holiday Season.

I'm doing art commissions! For many reasons, but I won't bore you with the details. Let's just say I'm already in debt and want to pay it back as soon as possible before I have to buy books for next semester. D:
SO! Here are some previews:

Bigger previews will accompany each picture with links.
Sketch-$7-Preview1 Preview2
Colored sketch-$12-Preview Preview2
Cleaned-up lineart-$18-Preview
Paintchat fully colored-$28-Preview1 Preview2
CG fully colored-$30-Preview
CG fully colored w/bg-$34-Preview Preview 2
Add a character-$3 per character
If you want realism, contact me and I will give previews and we will discuss a price! Realism just takes a long amount of time, so I haven't listed it here as a category.
Paypal is the preferred method of payment! If you would prefer another method, talk to me and we'll figure something out.
I do most anything but mechas, cars, machines, and landscapes. I will draw yaoi, yuri, het, tentacle, monster, and many other fetishes. There is little I won't do. Just ask if you have any doubts.
My e-mail is Sorakachan21@gmail.com. My AIM is Sorakachan. My MSN is sorakachan21@hotmail.com (DON'T email here! I never check this e-mail!).
Instant messenger is preferred simply because it's instant and I can receive the messages mobiley. If you can't IM, then e-mail is fine, as well as commenting or sending me a private message.

Well, I got the main room decorated, though the kitchen is still a mess, the dining room will remain undecorated until the packages are wrapped, and the front bath isn't done. I also managed to get the topper on top of the tree without falling off the step-stool or knocking over the tree. It is a star, but it's a black and silver glittery star.
I also napped most of the afternoon away after KU won.
Peanut butter fudge round one with natural peanut butter was a failure.
Tomorrow I'm trying it with Jif. Mom's trying it with peanut butter ground fresh at the store that's not as oily as the first attempt.
We are determined to get Nana's peanut butter fudge recipe to work. It worked sometime in my adult life and I'm sure we used Jif, as that was the only peanut butter we ever had, and surely the Jif recipe hasn't changed in the last twenty years. My belief that it won't set up because of the preservatives in the commercial peanut butter that keeps it from not getting hard is fading.
I still haven't written Yuletide but I do have an idea and found the books the one character is in. I have all of tomorrow afternoon to write it. I have to get it done then because Monday is going to be busy at work and I'm scared this uploading is going to be a nightmare that'll take forever. One person on my FL said it was easy; another said it was a pain in the ass. I'm not familiar with uploading to fic archives like a lot of people are. It's been years since I loaded anytihing to ff.net so last year's Yuletide was a first for me. I hand code and ftp my fics to my own site and that's it. I guess I'm very old-fashioned where the Net is concerned. Or just really old.
*sigh*
I'm so not ready for my solo tomorrow at church.
And I'm so far behind on Christmas it's not funny, though I finally hung up my peace sign evergreen wreath outside. I've only had it for two weeks.
For those of you getting dumped on by snow, stay safe and warm! We may get some mid-week but I doubt it'll be anything like the East Coast. I'm surprised the federal government hasn't gone into catatonic shut down (I assume DC got hit, since I know a bit south in Viriginia did.)
Okay, I gotta go get the laundry and then I'm going to watch the second half of Iron Man, since I fell asleep in the middle of it last night.

Hi again!
We found a house in Riverview and will find out when we close next week. It's a new house so the walls are all beige. Neither of us want to paint ourselves, so I'm planning on hiring painters. Any recommendations?
